Lots of people record their own demos in their personal home studio. This is great to help get ideas down and really helps in the creative process. The problem with recording and tracking in a modest studio set up is that a lot of times the finished product lacks the commercial radio ready sound heard by the artists that we admire the most. Joint Venture Studios uses a hybrid set up utilizing the best of analog and digital. All audio is passed through analog EQ’s, Compressors, and mic pres. The heart of the studio is the Rupert Neve Designs 5060 Centerpiece. Any fine tuning needed after audio is processed in the analog domain is done in the digital domain.
